오늘은 한국에 장기 체류하는 외국인들도 모바일 외국인등록증을 사용할 수 있다는 소식을 전해드리겠습니다.

 

법무부는 2025. 1. 10.부터 국내 체류 등록외국인을 대상으로 모바일 외국인등록증(영주증, 거소신고증 포함) 발급이 가능하다고 합니다.

 

○ 모바일 외국인등록증은 ‘모바일신분증앱’을 본인 명의 스마트폰에 설치하여 발급받을 수 있습니다.

○ 법무부는 모바일 외국인등록증 발급 편의를 위해 2025. 1.부터 개인식별번호(PIN)가 저장된 전자칩(IC) 내장 신형 외국인등록증을 발급하고 있습니다.

○ 모바일 외국인등록증은 본인 명의의 스마트폰을 소지한 14세 이상 모든 등록외국인이 발급받을 수 있으며 실물 신분증과 효력이 동일합니다. (※ 14세 미만 외국인은 발급 불가)

○ 전자칩 내장 신형 외국인등록증을 소지한 경우에는 모바일신분증 앱을 이용하여 쉽게 모바일 외국인등록증을 발급받을 수 있습니다.

○ 기존 외국인등록증 소지자는 출입국‧외국인관서를 방문하여 스마트폰으로 신원확인 큐알(QR)코드를 촬영하여야만 발급이 가능합니다.

○ Mobile foreigner ID card can be issued by installing a 'mobile ID app' on your smartphone.
○ Mobile foreigner ID card can be issued to all registered foreigners aged 14 or older who have a smartphone in their name and has the same effect as the real ID card. (※ Foreigners under the age of 14 cannot issue it.)
○ If you have a new foreigner ID card with a built-in electronic chip(IC), you can easily get a mobile foreigner ID card using the mobile ID app.
○ If you have existing foreigner ID card, must visit the immigration and foreign offices and take a picture of the identification QR code with their smartphones to issue it.
